The Mademoiselle Social and Service Club was founded on the campus of Booker T. Washington High School and the High School for the Engineering Professions in Houston, Tex. by Mlle. Patsy Meeks in 1960. We are celebrating 50 years of Mademoiselle history at our 6th Annual Citywide Mademoiselle Conference. For more information on how to participate in this historic event, please contact themllesalumnae@yahoo.com.

This organization was founded on the principles of promoting finer young womanhood and uplifting the community. Since its inception, the Mademoiselle organization has flourished to 15 high school campuses in the Houston area.

Shannan E. Johnson
became a Mademoiselle in 1996 at Booker T. Washington High School and the High School for the Engineering Professions. Her Mademoiselle accomplishments include: Most Outstanding Rosebud ’96-‘97, Member ’97-‘98 and Officer ’99-’00 (Assistant Dean of Rosebuds), Mademoiselle Queen ’00 and Step Team Captain ’98-‘00.

Brandii Mayes
became a member of the Mademoiselles in 1994 at Booker T Washington High School and the High School for the Engineering Professions.
