1. How do I register for the conference?
Registration (hyperlinked) is now available online. You can download
your application from the link listed below. Please send your completed
application to themllesalumnae@yahoo.com and fee to BRANDII'S ADDRESS no
later than March 1, 20097. Please be sure to have your ID with you at
the registration table when you arrive. School ID is acceptable.
2. How much is the conference?
The conference is FREE to any Mademoiselle who is a member of an
OFFICIAL Mademoiselle Chapter. The chapter registration fee is $25 and
should be mailed to BRANDII'S ADDRESS no later than March 1, 2009.
3. What is the average duration of the conference each year?
Each year, the excitement of the Mademoiselle Conference is packed into
one day. Registration typically begins at 7:00 am and dismisses at 4:00
pm. Check the details of this year's conference (hyperlinked) for more
information on exact times.
4. What can I expect to see if I attend one of the annual conferences?
The conference is typically divided into several workshops with
presenters, panels and guest speakers. Topics most commonly covered are
health, education, social and life skills and confidential Mademoiselle
issues. Food and entertainment are also provided. Special guests of the
past included Itang Young, Miss Black Houston 2005-2006, Joye Giddings,
former radio MC of 97.5 FM, and NFL player Bethel Johnson of the New

5. I am unsure if my chapter is official. Can I still attend the
conference?
The Annual Citywide Mademoiselle Conference is for OFFICIAL
Mademoiselle Chapters ONLY. For a list of official chapters, please
click here (hyperlink). For more information on how to become an
official chapter, please have your Sponsor or President contact
themllesalumnae@yahoo.com.
6. How do I apply for The MLLES Alumnae, Inc. Conference Scholarship?
It’s as easy as clicking on the link below. Please be sure to read
all instructions on the application and submit to The MLLES Alumnae,
Inc. before the deadline for full consideration.
7. Do I have to attend the conference to receive a scholarship?
Absolutely not! While it is strongly encouraged to attend at least one
conference before filling out an application, conference attendance is
not mandatory for scholarship consideration.
8. How can I become a member of The MLLES Alumnae, Inc.?
The only requirement is to be an alumnae of an OFFICIAL Mademoiselle
Chapter to which you were a participating member. Once you’ve
graduated high school, you’re already a member! It is only asked that
you submit your contact information to themllesalumnae@yahoo.com to stay
abreast of all activities, fundraising, meetings, etc. If you are a
graduating senior and are interested in an active role with The MLLES
Alumnae, submit your contact information now! We look forward to working
with each of you in the future!
9. Do I have to live in Houston to be a member of The MLLES Alumnae,
Inc.?
Absolutely not! Over 80% of our active members live outside of Houston.
Even the Founders Shannan Johnson and Brandii Mayes live outside of
Texas! MLLES business is conducted year-around; most of which is
conducted via email. If you are considering a position with a committee
or Executive Board, it is strongly encouraged that you have an active
email account.
10. How can my unofficial chapter become official?

12. How can my school be the host chapter of next year’s
conference?
Each year, The MLLES Alumnae chooses a chapter to host the
annual conference. Chapters are chosen based on their participation in
previous conferences. If interested, please write to
