2010 Community Service Winner and Chapter of the Year

The Alief Taylor Chapter of Mademoiselle currently has 36 members who are very active on campus holding positions such as senior class president, colorguard captain, cheerleader co-captain and speech and debate president. Exceeding expectations, these young ladies perform two or more community service activities each month seeking to benefit the school campus, the Alief /Greater Houston Area, the United States and foreign lands. Some of their community service projects include the See It, Stop It: Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign, Breast Cancer awareness, Hunger Banquet, Adopt a Family for Christmas, Gingersnaps, 2010 City of Houston Arbor Day Celebration, GO RED WEEK – Heart Health Awareness and many more. Celebrated amongst their peers as the "ladies others should exemplify," Alief Taylor continues in excellence.

Jennifer Roberts is a 2010 graduate of Alief Edward Doc Taylor High School. While attending ATHS, she was a dedicated member of Mademoiselle for three years and vehemently held the position of President. While fully committing to the organization, she maintained superior grades and was an outstanding role model on campus. She was involved in a variety of extracurricular activities including the National Honor Society, Band, Colorguard as a Captain, the TAP Project and Speech and Debate as President. Jennifer attends Hamilton College in Clinton, New York on full scholarship as a Prelaw major with an environmental focus.
